Celsius to Fahrenheit
Convert a Celsius temperature to Fahrenheit, or a Fahrenheit temperature back to Celsius.
The answer
Fahrenheit is Celsius × 9/5 + 32. Celsius is (Fahrenheit − 32) × 5/9. Zero Celsius is 32 Fahrenheit. One hundred Celsius is 212 Fahrenheit.
How this works
From Celsius, multiply by 9, divide by 5, and add 32. From Fahrenheit, subtract 32, multiply by 5, and divide by 9. The same formula runs in reverse, so 32 Fahrenheit comes back to 0 Celsius.
A body temperature of 37 Celsius is 98.6 Fahrenheit. A kitchen temperature of 180 Celsius is 356 Fahrenheit. Enter the number you have and the direction you need.
